Winter is when our kitchen really comes into its own. Our menus champion fresh, seasonal British ingredients, with hearty pub classics and properly special specials celebrating the best meat, fish and game of the season.
Then there are our famous Sunday roasts. A firm Richmond favourite, tables are regularly snapped up weeks in advance by families and locals settling in for a proper Sunday feast. Come hungry, bring your favourite people and let our kitchen do the rest.
Pull up a chair and settle in with something suitably wintry. Think rich red wines, perfectly poured pints, warming serves from our winter cocktail menu and our punchy Absolut Tabasco Bloody Marys. And when there’s something to celebrate, we know what our locals like. Bottles of Nyetimber and magnums never hang around for long, so gather the table and get something special on ice.
Sundays are sacred with us. Expect beautifully cooked British meats, crispy roasties, seasonal vegetables, giant Yorkies and plenty of proper gravy, all best enjoyed over a long afternoon with family and friends. We’re known for our roasts for a reason, and tables are often booked weeks ahead. If you’ve got a Sunday in mind, don’t leave it too late.

Yes. Sunday roasts are one of our specialities and a firm favourite with Richmond locals. We serve traditional British roasts with all the trimmings every Sunday, and tables can book up weeks in advance, so we strongly recommend reserving ahead. The pub currently serves food from 12pm–9pm on Sundays.
